CELESTE APPRECIATION post

I raerly see anyone mention her but i love her sm yes this is mostly like 98% hc shes only got like 5 lines in hole game what more do u want from me

anyways, my sweet sweet barely domesticated celeste :

-"Why did my husband come back with a child ,a dog ,a living skeleton, a man who can throw him around like he weights nothing and a knight(derogatory)" -Cahara's so wiped 4 her and honesty i would to if that was my wife, she def pegs him 2 btw i mean just look at him, my point exactly.

-gets along with Enki the most 2 everyone's surprise, there paper wight besties. & share a worrie for Cahara they will never verbalise as well a dislike for D'arc- i mean knights.

-celeste is d'arces first (and only) female friend, much to clestes own dismay.

-d'arce thought she was a gold digger at first, as you can tell they had a grate first impression of each other

-only trusts people about as far as she can throw them (rip rag , he can still man handle the group whore with ease tho so good for him)

-can not hold a convo with a child 2 save her life , the length of her mertanl intents extend to bringing the child 2 Cahara .

-she is not mother material but for some reason they're trying to keep a baby with a high infant mortality rate its funny

i think celeste probably didn't have great parents or a good role model, deadbeat drunkard parents that kicked her out and kind of left her to fend for herself & close of to the world and that's why she has such a disillusioned take on parenthood + where her own approach to children comes from but uh oh !! cahara wormed his way into her heart ! and who's to say his clear and utter devotion to this little girl cant win her over either i dont think either her or Cahara were going out of their way to get pregnant - it's like an unfortunate by-product of the nature of Celeste's career, and Cahara's love for her being what led to him being so willing to step up. i don't think either of them ever really thought about having kids, or at least didn't think they'd be good parents, but celeste getting pregnant or cahara bringing back a child is just the way life ended up going. it's the renaissance era, abortion methods are on par with childbirth in terms of deadliness anyway. she's just not going to have to keep risking her life via pregnancy if cahara goes out, gets enough coin to support them both, she's not going to be like every other peasant woman who's forced to become a broodmare because every 1 in 2 children fucking die before they turn 5. clesest being pregnant is just what ended up happening. the love in that is to do with their RELATIONSHIP, not their love for some idealistic family life. i think cahara wanting to give it a try is something celeste would think is really sweet and admirable, but she'd probly keep a lot of her more cynical thoughts to herself on the matter.

saying that i think they both have a lot of cynical thoughts about it really, but i cahara goes so quickly into "this is my wife, this is our future baby" because otherwise what's the point in taking on such a risky mission in the first place ? but if he's got a noble cause, then it might seem worth it, right ? it's that extra push of encouragement for him, even if it comes with a lot of scary things like the responsibility, being a parent, maybe settling down witch is a scary thought for someone whos always so used 2 being on the move

as for celeste ; she doesn't even know if she's going to make it through the pregnancy, or if the baby will. it's just another mouth to feed at the end of the day. she doesn't care about carrying on a legacy, or raising a child into greatness like so many others beg and plead of god to bestow upon their children. she knows she'd be a shit mom and she's hardly a loyal partner at the moment. but she loves cahara, and seeing that fear in his eyes when she told him, but also that spark of light, that little bit of joy, made it at least worth holding on for.

celeste: it's probably not going to make it anyway, i either risk death in childbirth or death in abortion methods, so. celeste: its getting me enough bank rn to keep myself healthy so we'll just see what happens i guess celeste watching cahara bring home an entire child:

okay cringe time over. i wont go into 2much detail about her relationship with the others though i think its a very slow process of her learning to tolerate get along with the creatures friends cahara brought back -as soon as celeste meets d'arce her mild suspicion and distaste for ragnvaldr will be replaced with her disgust for d'arce -think celeste would be pissed she wouldn't be able 2 pull cahara out of ragnvaldrs grip unless she stabbed him or something, witch shes both angry about it but also relieved since it probably kept cahara out of trouble in the dungeon (because lord knows her husband is a magnet for trouble) inside me there are 2 wolfs ; one is mmm hot stong wife carry cahara like a sack of pataos , the other is screaming at me that this is the 1600 and she would be starving and poor. so to compromise with myself im going 2 say : - physical speaking celsest is probly stronger then most women in her profession and could probly drag an unconscious cahara around then againg i also think cahras way ligher then someone of his build&carear should be shes stronger then enki (then againg who isnt) but cant match d'arces physical strength. saying that modern au Celeste would beat d'arce in an arm wrestle.

The Last Olympian Thoughts

So because I have absolutely 0 self-control or restraint when it comes to this series and its characters, and for The Last Olympian in particular, I could not put TLO down. Because of this I figured I couldn’t do the usual photo reaction posts I have been so far, because the spam would just be ridiculous, so I am stealing the idea from @yourstrulytaaay​ to do a masterpost instead. (Adding a Read More cause this got ridiculously long)

Fun fact, TLO came out right after i finished reading the series for the first time so it's the first PJO book i bought  and my only hard cover one for the og series. I checked the year and turns out it was published 2009, which means i was actually 9 when i read the series for the first time. I realize this is not really a fun fact but i thought i was older when I first read the series so it's blowing my mind a little ‘cause now I’m 21 and everything hits different and i still have so much love for this series and the characters Okay onto book thoughts: - i was right that this book is gonna destroy me, the first line alone made me so excited and nostalgic it's ridiculous - I love Rachel and Percy sm tbh. Her being a bit of peace and normalcy in his life without always reminding Percy of who and what he is is so good for him. Just a little escape

- of course by the end of the book that's not the case any more but by the end he's lived his prophecy so he doesn't need it as badly, plus he and Annabeth are solid again - Percy saying Annabeth has been hard to be around lately... Ouch my heart. Luke really is the last thing that keeps them from being together and Percy is so jealous and Annabeth so torn and in pain, i feel so bad for them both

- Beckendorf 🥺🥺 - the telkhine with the Lil Demon lunchbox!! I forgot about him. Percy: 'i left him alive, partly because his lunchbox was cool' is one of my absolute favourite lines tbh - Paul taking Percy crabbing and being imperative in helping Percy kill the giant crab 💖 Paul Blofis is important and deserves the world, okay? - aw Percy, you can't save every demigod bb

- 'i had to fight him eventually. Why not now?... What difference would a week make?' Oh Percy you have no idea - real talk tho, the fact Kronos possessed Luke's body would also mess me tf up. Percy keeps forgetting it's not Luke anymore and yeah, that would be so so hard and confusing af, like what another smart little mind game for Kronos to pull on top of everything else - the fact Percy fights Kronos before getting the Achilles Curse and actually doesn't die within seconds is... Astounding. He kicks him in the chest! And yeah Kronos is weaker and still adjusting to Luke's body, but Percy is having trouble fighting Luke cause they used to be friends - Percy breaks Kronos' time magic!! Like?! Boy is POWERFUL.

- OUCH - honestly Luke, Thalia and Annabeth's family breaking the way it did... Don't talk to me. Poor Annabeth, Luke betrayed them, Thalia joined the Hunters because of Luke's betrayal so she's pretty much AWOL all the time and then Luke dies. Like Rick wtf, my heart can't take it? -Percy and Tyson having each others backs when talking to Poseidon in the underwater palace is the brother-brother relationship we love to see - Percy trying to stick a sand dollar in the vending machines at school 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ - the whole underwater interaction at Poseidon's palace? Perfection. Awkward family drama and all - Connor falling out of the tree when he sees Percy because he's so excited 😂😂

- k, ik Clarisse isn't perfect but tbh if i was a child of Ares whose father was disrespected and hated by my fellow campers (ares deserves it but still) and that disrespect trickled down to how the other campers treated ME (which if Percy is reliable here, it obviously does) then i would also be irritated at being used for muscle and nothing else? And just expected to fight with the people who act as if they'd rather not have Ares kids around the rest of the time. Like Clarisse isn't totally wrong - Percy reading the prophecy, seeing he's meant to die and just being like 'i do not see it' and refusing to outright think about it makes me so sad for him - (but it taints every action after and he's super reckless afterwards bc of it- including finally breaking and accepting the Achilles Curse) - (also him taking this as the last straw and finally beginning to show Annabeth how he really feels, cause fuck it, he's dying anyway) - Give me more info about Rachel's backstory and family Rick!! -  how did i forget Percy willingly eats chocolates that taste like cardboard because 'i didnt have anything against cardboard' like sir? Ik Silena didn't want them but still? - 'she'd always been cute, but she was starting to be seriously beautiful' STOP, MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT - Percy staring at Annabeth and forgetting what they're talking about cause hes so distracted 👌🏻

For some strange reason.... - i forgot how Percy totally bombs this convo bw them and now want to cry 😭 Annabeth is trying to talk about what's important and Percy, you sweet oblivious man, you're shooting her down without even realizing - love that they're both on the same wavelength tho. Percy two lines before, hmm it's cool to date ppl from other cabins, wonder why im thinking that around Annabeth, my best friend in the world, and then Annabeth a beat later, hmm, let me bring up Silena and Beckendorf and how it's important to be with the people you love when you have the chance, no way Percy will miss this huge hint right? - they're the best - k i honestly forgot Percy full on physically intimidates Leneus like that - luke telling his mom if he ran away the monsters wouldnt get her..i can just imagine luke crying when he says good bye before running away because he thinks it's his fault his mom is like that and he cant take care of and protect her anymore because it's too hard - uh oh now i have angsty pre-lightning thief luke fic inspo... Him, Thalia and Annabeth on the run... The ANGST -  Rick holds absolutely nothing back in this book and i am in pain - HESTIA!! 💖💖🥰 - actual loml - i love that Rick titled this book after her and that he wrote such a great series about the importance of family (biological, found or otherwise) and home, and that he said actually Hestia is the most important bc shes the most humble and keeps the peace and knows when to fight and when to yield and you protect what you love, which is your home - i just... Adore Hestia - Grover! Missed you babes - Hades is so so horrible to Nico, always comparing him to Bianca :/ - but i do love Hades, Persephone and Demeter together they make me laugh - oh god the River Styx - Achilles 🥺 - Annabeth being Percy's lifeline is, and continues to be, A Lot™ - 'my name was Percy Jackson. I reached up and took Annabeth's hand.' LOL Why am i crying? - Like the fact there is no Percy without Annabeth, and that remembering her literally reminded him of who he is in his very soul... It's fine im fine - i won't even get into the parallels of her being his lifeline now and then later when Hera takes his memories but leaves the memory of Annabeth for Percy to fight to get back to (anyone who wants to yell about it with me... Feel free to message) - badass Percy is my fav Percy tbh - him defeating Hades?? Like? Hades is arguably the most powerful god, okay - i feel bad for Nico but if i was Percy I'd do the exact same, Nico, sorry man but this is a high stakes time crunch deal and Nico is literally the only hope of persuading Hades and distracted by his own internal stuff - flashbacks to Luke, Thalia and Annabeth hurt, ow - George and Martha are the best - damn i forgot Hermes full on nearly kills Percy here, yikes - Luke stop cockblocking Percabeth challenge

- i love!! Percy's love for New York!! So much!! - Percy leaving to live in New Rome in HoO is a lie and this is all the proof i need for why - the fact the entire last half of the book is the battle and aftermath... Such great buildup and pacing. All the tricks and twists and battles in this War of Manhattan? I would not take out a thing, Rick, you legend - of course then the final battle in hoo with the gods is what? Two pages? Ugh, don’t talk to me about my hatred for BoO and HoO - 'no detours you two' is still the cutest thing!!! - THE HUNTERS!! Thalia i missed you - good job Percy, you finally spent your sand dollar - Minotaur!! - 'dont i get a kiss for luck? Its kind of a tradition right?' Percy finds out he's gonna die and is out of fucks to give and honestly I support him - also Michael just standing beside these two while they're flirting like umm 👀 👀 while a monster army marches towards them, nbd - Annabeth taking Ethan's knife meant for Percy!!! Cause she just knows his weak spot without him even telling her! They literally invented love - Feral Percy is so scary omg, i love how well Rick incorporates the Achilles Curse in this novel, with the whole heightened weaknesses and stuff ans the parallels to Achilles arrogance being what killed him and Percy's loyalty, fierceness and protective instinct being his own heightened weakness - the fact that Percy is the one who inadvertantly kills Michael Yew tho, I'll never recover from that - the fact Hades offers Maria di Angelo a golden palace by the Styx like how Poseidon offers Sally a palace under the sea tho. Let's talk about that parallel - the entire talk with Prometheus is so so good - not me picturing young Luke hiding in the closet to get away from his mom when she has an 'episode' -i love callbacks in stories and all of the callbacks to the rest of the series in this book make me very happy (medusa, minotaur, the underworld, Rainbow!! My baby!!, Daedalus and more) - Percy summoning a wholeass hurricane against Hyperion - the Party Ponies! They're so chaotic, i love it - Dionysus! ��� I can't help it, i love him - Percy absolutely losing it when he sees Sally and Paul asleep in the car 🥺 - Rachel telling Percy he's not the hero screws with him so much :( poor bb - although i really really love how Rick wrote this, it's so refreshing to not have one chosen one save the world, but a combination of people - the drakon, Silena and Clarisse make me cry - the Patrochilles references, im not okay - Annabeth giving up on Luke after hearing what he did to Silena and Percy telling her that doesn't make him happy 😭 that whole interaction makes my heart ache - Percy giving Hestia Pandora's pithos 🥺 - and Hades, Nico and the others coming for a final attack is so badass, i love it - listen im glad the og trio were the ones to confront Luke on Olympus but the fact Thalia got so close and then pinned by a statue of HERA makes me so sad. Ik her and Luke were finished and she coped by cutting him off completely and giving up all hope but i would pay money to know what they would have said to each other to say goodbye - Ethan 🥺 - Poseidon joining the fight against Typhon is so cool, such a great scene - 'PEANUT BUTTER!' - Annabeth you brilliant badass you - RIP Luke, you werent great but you werent the worst either - the gods just rolling up seconds too late, wondering wtf happened in Olympus and who the dead body is - the chapter where the Olympians meet and give out rewards is one of my absolute favourites (again i am incensed we didn't get anything like this in HoO) - will Percy turning down immortality ever not make me scream in glee? No? Alright then - Annabeth being relieved like Percy was relieved at the end of Titan's Curse tho - oh Hermes :/ - its so hard reading all this and knowing what comes in HoO... Like it's such a cathartic, earned and mostly happy and peaceful ending and then HoO comes along and undermines it all - aww Rick let Paul see Olympus somehow pls, he deserves it, he killed a dracanae - (i would also love to see it) - Percy being more upset Rachel took his pegasus than her going to Camp and possibly dying, lol, priorities dude - i honestly think that Rick had other ideas for the second Great Prophecy and how things would go down in BoO, cause the prophecy like... Barely applies to BoO, Doors of Death are in book four, and explabations of it is all so unclear when Rick is usually pretty good with that stuff - PERCABETH - lol Percy complaining about privacy when he and Annabeth are caught kissing literally in the middle of the very open and public dining pavilion, okay - BEST UNDERWATER KISS OF ALL TIME - that's it and im a glass case of emotion - very happy to say that this series remains my favourite of all time 💖

Oh, let me continue the subject of the jealousy of these two. You're saying that Johnny isn't the type to hold back when it comes to emotions. And it really is. But... there is a moment in the game when V talks about his exes or about stupid compliments in a conversation with River. And Johnny doesn't say anything. I would write it off as a scenario move, so as not to shift the focus from the River. But this isn't the only time Johnny ignores events in this quest line. See the second question

Part 2 for context:  So... I continue. Do you remember the moment when you watched brain damage and lost consciousness, when you and River were searching for clues about the mayor's murder? Johnny never ignored the moments when V passed out. Here River comes to the rescue, and you would think that he knows that there is someone to help and nothing to worry about ...But in similar situations with Judy and Panam, he would appear and deliver his moralizing remarks or make snide comments. 🤔

Personally, I do believe this is sort of a meta issue. I’ve talked about it a little bit before in a general post; how given his characterization, Johnny does not in my opinion talk as much as he should. In a more comedic example, I mentioned how could anyone honestly look me in the eye and say that Johnny wouldn’t have a comment on the guy with the exploding penis implant????  Like Johnny is majorly characterized as a guy who can’t leave well enough alone and always has something to say; yet theres a fairly large percentage of gigs and missions and moments where you’d think Johnny would have something to say and he doesn’t. There’s also times where lines are blatantly reused and in a jarring way.

Like, I could be wrong, but I think they reuse him saying “There it is” with both V getting Nibbles and a man committing suicide in a gig. Like????? 

Meta wise, I do think it’s partially a fear of over incorporating Johnny to the point players found him annoying. Because even now, some people find him irritating and wish he’d talk less. So, that could be a factor. The idea of not sidelining love interests is a factor of course. While, he has commentary through out each love interests questlines. He always does mostly bugger off during the romantic lead up and the actual kiss then sex. Because well, it might be a bit of a buzzkill and if you’re trying to get laid and Methed Out Future Keanu Reeves is yelling at you from the corner of the room. I mean, it’d probably enhance my experience but some people aren’t into that. 

As for why stuff like, him ignoring V getting zapped by the braindance in River’s quest. I’ve always thought that was ooc. Like, short of potentially the bd having fried him up for a bit, kinda like the emp blast does when V and Panam take down the AV. But overall, over and over again, Johnny is shown to be the first one there when V gets hurt. Even if its to yell at them for going into the toxic water or he waits a beat to appear once Panam is done looking over V. 

And that could be because they potentially again wanted to give more attention to River or... and I always hate to get into this sort of discourse, cause I know it aggravates some people. It was an oversight, something not caught, something not thought of, just because to be fair...River has the least polished questline of the love interests. The male love interests in general imo were sidelined more. But, River A) has the least amount of quests to build up to his romance, B) is the most easily missable love interest since he’s not even required to meet for the secret ending the way Kerry is. and C) this could just be my own personal experience, maybe cyberpunk 2077 provides unique bugs for everyone, but his quests are the buggiest for me.

And to be perfectly clear, this is not me being a dick to River. Do, I think some aspects of his character are kinda tone deaf, sure, but I like River. I think he’s a sweetheart, who’s usually pretty stiff, but has his cuter jokey moments and is a puppy dog underneath.  I love doing his quests because they’re truly very emotional, being able to help his family. Like, being able to save Randy is one of the best feelings in the game to me, knowing you saved him and so many other young boys. That’s why it honestly breaks my heart to see how little polish and attention his quests were given. From the calls glitching, him not staying on comms in the first quest, Johnny in my game doesn’t even give the dialogue warning my V about River wanting to sleep with her, like it just does not show up for me, The cobbled together family photo. The weird pacing of the romance that goes from 0 to a 100. Randy’s face glitches and clips through the mask when you’re saving him. Like the concept, the investigation, the intense stakes, and the emotional impact of his quest are all so good; but CDPR just did not in my opinion take enough time with it. 

So, maybe they didn’t bother to script and put Johnny in that scene despite it being something he’d most definitely pop in for; cause they just didn’t take their time with it like they could have/should have. 

And in regard to Johnny in universe and talking; while like I said he’s more upfront and direct with his anger and side comments that he uses to hide his real feelings. I do think, especially if its post oils field convo, a part of him tries desperately to bite his tongue and just sit with his feelings if he think its best for V. In the more love dovey romance moment with River, I could see him being like, “okay, V wants this, as much as it pisses me off, V deserves to have some good in their life” and tries to hold back and be good and then five seconds later “CANT BELIEVE YOU’RE GONNA MAKE ME FUCK A COP” cause he can only behave for so long. 

And I do wanna note; I am by no means consider myself a Johnny Silverhand expert. I’ve said this before, his characterization and just him as a person can be very messy, very all over the place, and contradictory at times. He can try to kill V and then the next day pop up to chat with them in a diner and be like “why aren’t you happy to see me?????? you still mad?????? its been a whole ass 5 hrs since I told you to kill yourself and bashed your head into a window, gotta learn to let shit go dude.” So, sometimes I worry I’m making him ooc, but its fun nontheless, so.

the exorcist / gray, bishop, rey

Unfortunately we can’t save the first part of the convo bc you have to pay for it. so here’s the second half!

 In the first half gray met up with Bishop at Ira’s and drove to a cabin in the woods to interrogate Bishops step-dad and known New Order lover. 

Rey shows up and kills the party, unleashing spirits and forcing one to posses Mr. stepdad which leads to questioning, testosterone and over all mess. Fortunately in the end, they are able to find out about a mole within their group.

Grayson

This was definitely the work of someone from the new order. It meant that chances were that Bishop was way in over his head wherever he was, and that Grayson only had much longer before they came down on him as well. He couldn't let that happen. "Give me names." He grabbed the sides of the mans face, slowly beginning to heat up. "Who are the moles?!"

Bishop: Marcus was, well, somewhere that wasn't his body, so he couldn't really be held accountable for anything that it did, which was twitch a lot. Sorry about that, Grayson. Bishop, on the other hand, was searching through the house when he came across the one person he didn't expect to see, but totally should have. "Fuck," he whispered before shouting up the stairs. "Grayson! Why the fuck is Reynard here? Did you bring him here and not tell me? What the fuck is going on?" And then it kicked in that he was in pain. Bishop approached and knelt down beside him. "Are you okay? What the hell kind of clusterfuck is today, I am so confused."

Reynard: Reynard listened as closely as he could for the sound of Bishop's footsteps. And he would apologize for this profusely but Bishop would thank him for this jump scare later. He really felt weak. Everything was loud. He could barely see but in the darkness he trusted his gut, arm shooting out to grab bishop Bishop. Pulling his to him and having enough sense to cover the man's mouth but it was far too late. "SHHHH. We gotta go -- Let's go." He could feel Bishop but he was still fighting this headache from hell, pulling him to the door of the cabin.

Grayson 

A lot began happening at once. The man was twitching, convulsing he'd guess and clearly not faking it. And then he heard bishop say reynard's name and it clicked--but not exactly in a way that eased any of his worries. Grayson disregarded the man in the chair and rushed as fast as he could out the cabin, catching reynard and bishop just as they walked down the drive way, "I know you're working for them. You won't get away with it."

Bishop: Woah, what? Bishop backed off as he was being dragged and looked at Reynard. "You're working for them?" he asked with a lifted brow, eyes darting back and forth between him and Grayson. "Come on, you cant just go around making accusations like that, Gray, knock it the fuck off. He's-- he cant be. No."

Reynard: "I'm not working for them!" He hissed back, upset because he didn't feel well, and because Bishop pulled away from him, and because Grayson was accusing him of something he refused to let stand, "Using torture, Gray?" He left Bishop now, moving towards Grayson, "How fuckin' dare you, Grayson? After I was kidnapped by them?" His hoard of spirits were growing agitated the more they could sense Reynard's anger their whispers and moans growing louder, rustling the leaves on the trees. "What did you expect to happen? You'd let him go and he /wouldn't/ turn the both of you in? Immediately? And what if he didn't give you the information you wanted Gray?" It was becoming apparent that this Grayson character was the enemy, and as Rey felt the pressure of the advancing group he held up his hand, the other pressing to his temples, "Stop. No."

Grayson 

"Who said anything about him walking away? And if he didn't speak; that's fine. I'll keep looking until someone does." He took a step closer to reynard, "it's /because/ they kidnapped you that it matters more. Don't you see? This won't stop! Or are you waiting for bishop to be taken? You want him to come back messed up in the head like you? You really think they just take you, enhance your powers, then set you out to live your life? Don't be so naive."

Bishop: Bishop was torn. Grayson was saying everything Bishop was afraid of, but the part that really pissed him off was that he was saying it to Reynard who was standing right there and it was clearly hurting his feelings, so shut the fuck up about it, okay? He moved to shove Grayson back when he took a step closer. "Back the fuck off, I swear to god. None of us know shit, none of us will know shit until he starts talking. We need to find a way to get that to happen now."

Reynard: "You'll keep looking. And what you'll just keep him in this cabin? Or what? What would you do to him Gray?" He asked again, and then he was angry, "Of course I don't want Bishop to be taken! --" Jabbing his finger at Grayson because now this was reminding him a little too much about what he came to Aisling to escape, "I'm not fuckin' crazy Grayson!" Again he felt the surge behind him, "Stop!" He was constantly turning from Grayson to Bishop, to the ghosts behind him. It was fucking exhausting, pointing up to the attic, "He's not himself anymore. And if you want answers from him you need me."

Reynard: *any answers

Grayson: "Fine." Grayson crossed his arms across his chest and looked down at Reynard, "then let's go back and you can interrogate him then. Shouldn't be a problem since you have no connection with them. It'll keep you in the loop like you want so bad."

Bishop: Oh boy, this was fun. Bishop lowered his hands and tried to quietly usher everyone upstairs, feeling an awful lot like he couldnt trust anyone anymore.

Reynard: Grayson couldn't answer him. He asked the man twice and he couldn't answer him. Reynard's head was pounding, not looking at Grayson as he passed. Though Bishop's hand on his back was a comfort, he wanted none of this. He wanted to go home. He wanted Bishop to come home with him. He felt like he was in a bad dream. And there poor Marcus was, still tied down, twitching and contorting his body in unnatural ways, struggling against the bond. Reynard turned to Bishop, he looked like he hadn't slept in a couple days just because of the sheer stress of whatever was going on in his head, the constant hug of the dead and this weird feeling of something /else/ trying to control him, "Baby, let's go home. Please."

Bishop: "You know I cant do that," he said as he tried like hell to hold strong here. He had to remind himself over and over again that this was for Reynard as much as it was for him. For Nic, for his friends, his real family. "I need to know whats going on. I need to know what happened to my mom, what's going on with you, what could be going on with everyone. We need to be here. Please, just help us out."

Grayson: Grayson simply held the door open. He felt slightly guilty about making reynard go through this when he clearly didn't have it in him, but he also knew that unless he tested him now, he'd never be able to trust him. "We don't have a lot of time."

Reynard: A long exhale, "When I expel the spirit from him, he'll be done. I don't know if he'll remember enough to tell anyone what happened." You generally needed a few days to recover from being possessed. Give or take, you know, a couple years to get over the emotional and mental scarring. So maybe, in a way, this was better. This way, Marcus could go home, his mind would be all scrambled but he'd be alive. Still, Rey felt horribly guilty. They were doing what The New Order did to him. They kidnapped a man and fucked around with his brain. "...What did you want me to ask?"

Bishop: "Ask... ask him if... no. Ask him who is behind all this, what their next step is, and if he knows what happened to my mom." Bishop nearly bounced back and forth on the balls of his feet with nervous energy. He wanted to go home, and not just the home at Reynard's but home a few months ago when shit was normal.

Grayson: "Convenient for you." He said as he stepped inside, "maybe you shouldn't have possessed him in the first place. But I'm happy to keep him here for as long as it takes, don't worry." He opened the door to the attic, Marcus looking 10/10 possessed. "The spirit must have access to Marcus' mind, so why don't you ask him then. Now that you're super enhanced you can at least do that."

Reynard: Maybe they were about to get somewhere, but Grayson had to run his mouth and it set Reynard off track, turning to face Grayson now, closing the distance between them, "I don't know what happened to you? That you think you can talk to me however the fuck you want. But I'm gettin' real tired of your shit, Grayson." jabbing Grayson in the chest with his pointer finger, "Cut the fuckin' attitude."

Bishop: "Jesus Christ it's like dealing with toddlers," said the guy who had never dealt with a toddler in his life. "Guys, come on, knock it the fuck off."

Grayson: Grayson of course squared up like a dumb frat boy, stepping up to the challenge, "why don't you stop trying to create diversions and do what you need to do. We both know you do not want to pick a fight with me." Because he's OP AF

Reynard: "Why don't you stop giving me lip?" He pushed Grayson back once, "I'm not your fucking puppet," Another push, "And you're going to treat me with some god damn respect." And then a third for good measure.

Bishop: Bishop moved to take hold of Reynard around the middle, pulling him back some. "I'm so fucking serious, knock it the hell off."

Grayson: Grayson felt himself heat up fast, and this time it had nothing to do with the sun. "Don't you dare fucking lay hands on me if you don't want them burned off." He yelled, ready to punch reynard's lights out just as bishop pulled him back, "do your fucking job! You went out of your way to save someone who killed your boyfriend's mother, but you're picking fights with me?!"

Bishop: Wait, was his mom dead? The shock of that alone made Bishop let go and take a step back, staring at the possessed dude in the chair, still pulling a full blown exorcist on them.

Reynard: Oh, Grayson wanted to yell? Reynard could yell too, "I fucking dare you Grayson! It's nice to know that years of friendship mean so fucking little to you --" but it was when he felt Bishop's grip on him loosen, he practically forgot Grayson was there, focusing on his boyfriend, "Bishop?" Turning to Grayson one last time, "This isn't my job. This is something I'm being forced to do. Because of a situation you put us in. And you don't get to talk to me like you have been. I won't fucking have it." He took a breath, "...Bishop, do you want... to change what you want me to ask or..." He wanted to give the man his space, and wrap his arms around him at the same time. Opting to let Bishop come to him if he wanted the contact, "I'm sorry."

Bishop: Bishop just shook his head, his face void of all emotion. He pointed back in the other direction, either at Grayson or at Marcus or at whatever the hell was going on right now. "Just ask. Both of you get your heads out of your asses and get this over with."

Reynard: "Alright." He took a couple steps forward until he was face to face with Marcus -- though Reynard was talking to the spirit who was currently inhabiting Marcus' body, the man made a gurgling sound, "I know. I'm sorry. You're not happy in there. Just hold on. I need you to answer some questions for me, alright." Marcus' eyes had rolled into the back of his head, still thrashing, "Focus." Honestly, Reynard had never done something like this before. It took a whole lot of energy, that he didn't really have right now, and was just a little disconcerting, "I need you to tell me who was behind the kidnappings." The shingles of the roof started to shake, the dim light flickering. Reynard Gritted his teeth as this spirit tried to communicate with him, steadying himself by placing a hand on the chair of course this allowed for Marcus to latch onto his arm, whatever fingernails the man had digging into Reynard's wrist, "OK. OK. The New Order. I need their next step... Something about humans. Picking up where Gabriel left off..." He could feel the man break skin, "Using superiors to fight superiors. A new era of human reign --" A groan, "I can't... That's all I can do..."

Reynard: "I need to let him go --"

Grayson: "Ask him to give me names. At least one. Who's working for you? One superior."

Reynard: Another cry of discomfort -- or was that pain? Yeah. it was pain. Falling to a knee now, "I need a name." He was slowly losing control, "Someone working for them. Please. Then I'll let you go." His free hand balled into a fist, slamming down against the creaking floor boards, "Javier Diaz."

Grayson: "Fine. Let him go." Grayson stepped back, feeling successful and empowered, "i knew that piece of shit was a crook, I fucking knew him and his piece of shit human trash were in this together." He sighed, "you guys can leave"

Bishop: Wow Bishop's whole day went to shit in a matter of, like, an hour. He moved to grab Reynard and lift him to his feet. "Let's go."

Reynard: Reynard spent the next couple of moments and what little energy he had left in him to expel the spirit from Marcus before collapsing entirely. It took a while for Bishop to get him up. Too drained to do anything but follow.
